Cool [MOD] Two more XDA-influenced Enhancement Packs for the Adam

Wanted to pass this on as an option for you.

1) "EDENx". Basically this is a rip of the "GAdam" I made for the GTAB. Root, adhoc, full gapps, removes the Chinese keyboard and adds the Gingerbread one, the GTO777 transparency bar and a few other things:

This pack will most likely break OTA updates, so be aware of that. 2/11 EDIT: It's going to be changed to a full ROM, in the next day or two.

2) Base Market / Root. This is a stripped down version of "EDENx". Market, root, adhoc, nothing else. Also, we've made two files with the hope that this will NOT break OTA updates (although I suspect that you'll need a new pack each time an update comes out. But we just don't know, yet).

We've had a few Adam users actually test these, and they do seem to work. Good luck!
Android devices: ASUS Transformer, Notion Ink Adam, Cowon D3

Out of the box, Android devices cannot connect to Ad Hoc Wifi networks. This normally isn't an issue for most people as they are usually connecting to traditional 'infrastructure' networks like the Wifi router at their house, Starbucks, the airport, or their office.

Ad Hoc networks are wifi networks that are formed between two or more devices without the need for a dedicated Access Point (aka: Wifi Router).

The reason Ad Hoc support has become more important is the Wifi Hotspot functionality that many phones now support typically broadcasts the network in an Ad Hoc setup. Basically, if you have a phone that supports wifi broadcasting and you are going to connect your tablet to it, your tablet will need to have the ability to support Ad Hoc wifi connections. The Ad Hoc part of the enhancement packs mentioned above add the capability for your Adam to connect to Ad Hoc networks.
