Default Update firmware via Mac?

How do I update my vega from v 1.06.5 to v 1.08 on a Mac?

I don't want a windows solution like boot camp etc.

Any ideas please?

Mate i could only do it by getting Parallels 2 for my mac, then putting windows XP on it. Fairly painless process pretty much does it all for you... if you've got 2 screens its ace to have mac and xp side by side! just means you can just bob straight to the website and get the .exe and install it

I was just hoping to leave windows behind forever

Maybe I will invest - I do have some software laying around from my windows days that could be put to use

Thanks

you can also try the mcr r8 rom (available at modaco)
it's an enhanced version of stock 1.08, comes with a 1 click install script for windows, linux, and mac, and doesn't require any specific base-rom to be installed first.
all it needs is USB-debugging mode working.

This is how i ended up doing it but i needed the official rom as a base because i wasn't flashing 1.08 as at the time it wasn't out
