All in all gingerbread is great but to my personal experience it's not that snappy like froyo. I'm using launcher pro plus as home replacement and in froyo I managed to set it so I wont get redraws when closing the browser or other application that needs a lot of ram.

Note: I disabled JIT

In gingerbread with the same settings of launcher pro I get redraws. I tried with jit disabled, enabled, vmheap 32,40 and it's the same.

Is it something that I'm missing out?

If it werent for this everything would be great about this rom!

can anybody explain the current situation about themes?
I´m coming from miui so I didn´t have such problems...
Where can I get more cm7 themes, or must someone port this to our milestones?

I can't mount the ext2 partition. I tried the apps2ext posted by goodwin_c, but it doesn't work.
The apps2sd posted by goodwin_c in the thread [Info/brainstorming] Compiling modules for the 2.6.32 beta kernel doesn't work either. I get stuck at the CyanogenMod boot animation.
Has anyone gotten the ext2 partition to mount succesfully?

I had a problem when i wanted to take a picture, i opened the cam app and after 5 seconds my whole phones freezes and rebooted :S :S

The really odd thing is that the compass works if you use a compass application, it seems to be google maps specific or does anyone know of another app where it doesn't work?

Perhaps a new API or so causing a screwup?

This is the same as:
Settings > CyanogenMod settings > Performance > Lock home in memory

Simpler to use, esp if you don't have a physical keyboard etc =)

I also have to add, having never actually rooted a phone like this, (since i've always needed them) that applying the zipalign really sped up the boot! (As in the option in OpenRecovery)

Are the default APK:s really not zipaligned?

Also, i have to add that i have a problem with Wifi, following the issues list on googlecode - i hope that the next version will have a fix for it.
