Can someone please tell me how to make a boot animation on ubuntu please I am trying to make my own Rom just need help with that

I am not entirely sure. I know it is a series of images with an accompanying text file that gives the sequence and duration of those images. You can take any rom and get the boot animation out of it and i am sure you can figure it out using that as a guide. Here is the location of cm7 boot animation:

/system/media/bootanimation.zip

That is an old guide. From the many updates, the file system for the boot animation has changed. You might want to message a dev to find out the exact locations for the files you need to modify. Send a PM to them. Most are always willing to help.
