I can't find it anywhere, I've loaded this rom and kernel and it's working great, I have all of the settings for my provider b/c I've used vzw phones with them before, but I can't get into samsungs nam programming, b/c I have no dialer... anyone know how I can manually program my gtab?

Just one question
I notice there is a Phone.apk. Is this ROM meant to have the functionality to make calls on the VZW Tab? I've downloaded SIPDroid, but I honestly don't know where to go from there lol

No, phone function isnt available on the CDMA tab, however the Phoneapk your seeing can be made to work with Google Voice and Sipdroid, check FAQ's or Search function, theres quite a few how to's

just remember if your repartitioning, then wiping your cache partition, you just wiped your partition back out and will get the E: error again

the drivers might have nothing to do with it, but the 2 seconds it takes to double check..might be worth checking..sounds like not much else is working thus far.. i couldn't get heimdall to recognize after using odin and vice versa..just a thought..once you flash different roms, its like having a different device so if it has always worked one way, it might not be the case anymore in some instances, like i said, just a thought

i would wipe all THEN repartition, flash to stock, reboot, flash kernel, reboot, if you dont hear her voice but still have successfull flash, boot into recovery, disable lagfix, reboot, youll hear the voice and let her do her biz, reboot into recovery, enable lagfix, reboot (hear voice again) , flash v3 (wont install w/o lagfix) reboot, flash kernel v3, reboot, done..long process but seems to work

excellent post and instructions. If only I could disable my lagfix. When I disable the lagfix, I boot back into cwm and I see that it is still enabled. I turn my tab off and plug in the charger, I hear the female voice again. I think that is where my problem stems. I have been searching for a flashable voodoo uninstaller that would work. Its either that, or getting a working PIT file.

i think you said you had tried before; if you can get into download mode and able to use heimdall..

this will take voodoo off and everything, all you will have is your root, if you want to.... try this..again.. this is risky stuff, so I'm sorry if it borks!! I was on my Tab for almost 24 hours straight the other day just flashing back and forth so I can just tell you that it didn't brick once on me.

Assuming you can use heimdall:
(also..this might be literally ASS backwards, but ...meh)

Get into CWM and wipe it all out. Like everything, format sd in advanced settings, format it all.. just start fresh; wipe partitions, dalvik , anything and everything.

Go to advanced, select Partition SD card, SD EXT-512 , Swap 0

Reboot into recovery and Flash

Before you do anything else, reboot into recovery

Open Heimdall and flash this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967175

Bone stock with exception of root, but when it restarts, you'll get a boot loop

Hold down power and volume up (recovery) and you'll pull up normal android recovery, wipe/facory reset ONLY-reboot.. its alive

Boot into download mode after it gets situated

Flash the v2 kernel via heimdall..

Thats actually as far as I'm going to go.. lets just see if you get that far where you're stock w/voodoo kernel




If your getting messed up with the female robot voice.. how long are you giving it? She should say 2 min.. restore operation, voodoo lagfix is ____ if she not.. wait longer

I'm no expert or dev.. but I definitely know what it's like to have things go awol. So I definitely want to help you get running. There's support for sure, we are all fam haha

I am just a novice at all this, however I got everything up and running and so far so good. Rom is a little snapper, which was much needed over stock. I'll be donating when I get home from work.

A couple of my observations from my flashing process, because I hit a few roadblocks too. I wiped often, sometimes 2-3 times before flashing. I think by the end I would wipe, flash and than wipe again before booting. I had to flash back to stock, and I also had it hang, what fixed out for me was to flash to stock in heimdall, reboot into recovery and wipe everything and than the tab would reboot.
Also I seemed to have weird issues when trying to flash with tab fully charged and connected to my PC. ie power button would toggle screen and not select when plugged in.
