Help getting Honeycomb Mail on Elair/Froyo

I like the the mail app on Honeycomb, anyone know if we can get the email.apk to work on 2.1 or 2.2? I get a parsing error when I try to install it and adb gives me an old version of adb error. I did post this in the Honeycomb thread but it quickly got burried. I thought I may get better results starting a thread in this forum.

Froyo does not have the fragment api needed for multi-pane apps.
Try the notion ink adam email client.
