[Q] phone freezes with sim card in.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and to android. I acquired. A dell streak off Craigslist with froyo v_1.6 by dj steve. Baseband 00-us. Phone works great with no sim card installed and on wifi. With sim card in it freezes randomly to the point I have to take out the battery to get it to turn off or the home menu and back buttons will flash a few times to reboot and then freeze. iv been ripped off and the previous owner will not respond. Can someone help? I can paypal money if needed or if your in the springfield il area I will come to you.

The only thing I have figured out is if I switched the network mode to gsm only it wont freeze. But if its on wcdma and im on hspa the phone freezes everytime. Explanations?

Hey I am having the same problem, how did you fix it? I have a white dell streak with the official 2.2 update. I switched SIM's and it freezes 1 min after start up every singe time.

Don't be bitter for lack of help, sometimes people don't have experience with specific problem or don't have helpful ideas, so they usually don't post a thing. That does not mean that you will not get any help next time...
