[THREAD] T-Mobile Theme Chooser For CM7 (UPDATED :03/23/11)

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST, BEFORE ASKING OR REQUESTING ANYTHING.


I Havent seen anyone put much attention to the new THEME MANAGER ( T-mobile Theme Manager System ) application thats built in the new CM7 Roms,

*****REMEMBER YOU NEED TO BE ROOTED AND HAVE A CM7 ROM WITH THE THEME MANAGER APPLICATION FOR THIS THEMES TO WORK****

what is Theme Chooser?

The way Theme Chooser works is incredibly simple. As of build 13 (being used on the HTC Glacier), the app contains three themes that change several different aspects of the ROM. The themes are titled Androdian, Cyanbread, and the default System. Each theme changes the colors and wallpapers of the ROM to green, cyan, and orange, respectively. Applying themes is as easy as opening Theme Chooser, scrolling to the theme you want to use, and selecting apply. To get an idea on how the colors looks in action, check out the video demo below:

How to install:
All this themes are APK'S so they are as easy as just installing the APK to your sd card and than install it from there, and go to your THEME MANAGER APPLICATION and choice the theme, some of this themes are available on the android market. but they are some that are still not. so credit goes to all the themers for putting time and effort on there work.


heres a sample of how to create a theme, Cyanbread theme APK that you can download it here
(Please know that you have to re-assigned the apk to make it work, or make a new apk from scratch)

open the APK like this Cyanbread.apk >> "RES" folder >> click on folders
and change all the PNG'S image / Edit XML files that you want to change the theme, or anything else u want to do to create your own theme.

Advance / High skill themers
that want to go crazy on theming and want to do more and need more information, Tmobile release the open-source coding for themes , you can download and check out it here:

Remember some of this theme are meant for HDPI devices and some for mdpi devices, but it seem must of them work perfectly for the HTC EVO, if anyone have a problem with the resolution just download the "LCD Density APP" from the market.

Percentage battery icons are now available to some themes, not all of them so please make sure u download the right apk.

the themes on this list some include the icons and some dont, to see if icons are included, after choicing a theme and everything is loaded, go to adw theme settings and choice the "default theme" on the list, after that it should change the icons to match the theme.



ALL THEMES NOW HAVE SUPPORT FOR PERCENTANGE BATTERY ICON IN THE LASTEST CM7 RC2 (PLEASE UPDATE YOUR LASTEST CM ROM, OR IT WONT WORK),
JUST GO TO SETTINGS > > CYANOGEN MOD SETTINGS >> INTERFACE >> STATUS BAR TWEAKS >> CLICK ON BATTERY PERCENTAGE.


******REMEMBER SOME OF THIS THEMES HAVE CUSTOM BATTERY ICONS, IF YOU WANT THAT CUSTOM BATTERY ICONS THATS INCLUDED WITH THE THEME , UNCHECK THE BATTERY PERCENTAGE OPTION INSTRUCTIONS AS SHOW ABOVE

( this theme is meant for smaller screen devices but it still works perfectly and i tested myself on the evo so no worries. your going to get this error when you try to apply the theme,

just click "apply anyways" and there should be no problem.

THESE ARE AMAZING!!! One question, how do i get the clock on the pink and the yellow themes? Its the one that displays the time in words

If I use the cyanbread apk and make a theme wont I be unable to install it since cyanbread is already installed and a system app?

If someone can make a theme with a digital battery meter that would be AWESOME!

Yes u are right I might of not explain my self good so srry. What I meant to say was that its a sample n template for anyone who wants to create a simple theme u have to re assigned the apk for it to work. Basically creating a brand new apk but contain the files from cya. Apk
