It was a bit of nostalgia for me. I was waiting for the release of the G1 quite eagerly, and grabbed one on pre-order. I held on to that clunky monster until the N1 rolled out, and only reluctantly let that go because I actually needed signal at my new home when I moved. lol.
I just remember vividly reading the cornucopia of negative articles about why Android was doomed and holding fast to my "wait and see" opinion. It's just kind of nice to be on the far side of that equation now.

"Eventually, so the argument goes, these Android advantages will overwhelm the iPhone, similar to how Windows overwhelmed the Mac.

This prediction is about as likely to come true as the proverbial pig flying."

Silly *phone, apples are for nom.

But seriously, who wants to limit themselves to the out of the loop iphone that is choked by apple's rules so you can't customize it, improve it, etc. not I. God bless android.
