It is a good phone but not the best.....its internal memory is too low and the touch is not as responsive as other android phones and the screen cudve been a 3.2 inch
Overall I'd give it a 7

I gave it a 9.
Of course there are phones that are way better, but they cost 5 times more than the GT540. You can get it for ~100€, and for that price the phone is awesome and extremely fast.
Low memory problems can be solved with App2SD. The resistive touchscreen is very responsive, and actually I don't see the need for multitouch or pinch-to-zoom or whatever. Even it it would be a feature, I wouldn't use it.
A bad thing is that there's almost no support from LG regarding updates. But therefore the Russians are doing a GREAT job!

I love it for the fact that there's so many features at a low price, yes a capacitive screen would be nice and LG has no intension of updating it (but that's what the Russians are for ;) but all in all if I got €100 to buy a phone tomorrow I'd still buy this one!

I'd give it a 6 because of the low internal memory and stupid sd-card errors (in 2.1) an official rom should not come with horrible bugs like that.

The good thing is that a lot of custom roms are available 2.2 and now even 2.3.
I love that

I really like Android. Before the LG I had some closed Nokia E-series phones and I love this open platform.

This is my first droid phone and I bought it because of the low price in combination with the full feature set and i am definetly not disappointed. Therefor a 7.
