[Q] Difference between Desire(s)

My Desire is rooted and I've installed the AuraxTsense 8.3 Rom.
The Desire of my GF is'nt rooted.
We note a very big difference in the brilliance color: the white is a little bit yellow on my phone and in general, with the same settings, my phone is less brilliant.
Should this caused by the rom?

No, it's the difference between AMOLED and SLCD screens.

how can I check this? is there any "code" or whatever similar to recognise?

No code, as far as i know you have to do it visually.
Read this, I think the best way is to check how the pixels are aliened.

Another alternative: show a black image in fullscreen and darken the room. If you cant see your phone it's AMOLED as black = real black. if you can still see the screen and it's just very very dark you have SLCD.
A bit more technically speaking: on an SLCD screen the illumination comes from the backlight which is always on and "filtered" out. Unfortunately that can not be done completely - every TFT monitor has exactly the same problem. On an AMOLED screen black means no illumination hence no light.

the original version of the desire was shipped with the samsung amoled screen, after samsumg realised they had an awsome mobile screen they decided to "F" HTC in the "A" and tell them they couldnt produce the amount HTC wanted, so HTC went back to the Sony S-LCD screen

Or simply look at the box, if it says "3.7 inch AMOLED touch-sensitive screen", you got AMOLED, and if it says "3.7 inch touch-sensitive screen", you got a SLCD.

That's weird. My box says 3.7 inch touch-sensitive screen. However, when I compared it to the desire HD's slcd display, it shown all traits of AMOLED.(true black etc.) Wonder why is that so?
