You have the "unroot" option.
But I haven't tested it. If anyone has tested this function, please tell us if it works.

Soooo, after a Hard Reset, my phone doesnt start anymore.. Just freezes after the bootsound..

At first, I get through the Android Wizard-thing, but it crashes upon finish.
The phone reboots, and then it freezes with only showing LG.

LG Software Update finds it, but ofcourse theres no update available.
The Rescue-function is ofcourse not working (error).

Then, my final hope would be adb - but it replies no devices ...


Any luck, or do I have a dead phone?

tried to root my Optimus (FW 2.2.2) with SuperOneClick 1.7.. My OS ist Ubuntu 10.10.

Unfortunately SuperOneClick wants not to finish.

Starting the adb server is ok,

Waiting for device is ok,

Pushing psneuter is ok,

but after the message "chmod psneuter" nothing happens.

The phone is in the USB debugging mode and no SD card inside.

Any ideas?

Have you tried both methods and a few times each?

Edit: If that doesn't work, have a look at the Clockwork Recovery image in the dev section, I think that roots for you...
