Any news on rooting the hd7

The great HD2was stolen from me had to settle on the replacement HD7. I gotta get rid of windows 7 on this phone.

but I doubt they will ever root windows 7. windows phone is locked down. and people on in this forum like the fact that its un customizable. so your probably out of luck buddy. why don't you just trade someone for an hd2. thats what I do

Well yes its locked down. But it wont be forever.

Im sure that at a certain stage some one will hack the HSPL. Then it will be the job to port MAGDLR to HD7

It's already possible (and has been for many months) to put HSPL on the HD7, although if you have the latest set of updates (SPL 5.x) that's currently not working.

As for putting Android on the HD7, first somebody would need to port Android to the HD7, and nobody seems to have done so yet. There's plenty of Android phones if you really want one, though - nobody is holding you at gunpoint and making you buy a Windows phone, I assume.
