Is there any possibility of one click temp root on the inspire or does the bootloader prevent that?

Yes it will work but only after you have used attn1's downgrade method. I ran into root issues after downgrading and then used Visionary and it worked perfectly.

You don't NEED ENG S-Off to flash a radio. If used incorrectly, an engineering bootloader could have negative effects. Follow the steps in that thread to flash the radio through HBoot, using a PD98IMG.zip

If you really want ENG S-Off, to flash the radio using fastboot, here's the easy ENG S-Off Tool
