Unhappy syntax error while flashing clockwork

im trying to flash clockworkmod recovery and all steps go great untill i get to the last command
here is my screen.

adb shell
$
$su
#
#chmod 755 /data/local/bin/flash_image
chmod 755 /data/local/bin/flash_image
#/data/local/bin/flash_image boot /sdcard/tmobile_zImage

here is what i get exactly after i hit enter.

/data/local/bin/flash_image:5 : syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
#

ive searched the clockwork thread and got nowhere and no answers in 2 days now. coders please help me understand whats wrong here

problem solved, worked like a charm! hunting down a good rom now.
