Bada 2.0 Unveiled

Today at MWC, Samsung unveiled the newest version of the bada OS – bada 2.0. With it comes some impressive features like multitasking, NFC (near-field communication), voice recognition, all new Flash-based lock screen, Flash support along with HTML 5, and so much more! Behind the scenes, there is an all new application framework, new SDK, new emulators, and more tools for developers to develop bada apps. Aside from that, we could see abut 5 new bada devices this year if the presentation slides are any indicator. Samsung continues to focus its attention on ways to make bada more competitive and I think all these new features will push bada into competitive field.

Samsung will release bada 2.0 for the Wave S8500 and the S8530 around June 2011. Samsung also plans to sell about 10 million bada phones in the first half of 2011.

Thanks for the link. I hope they do indeed release Bada 2.0 on schedule. So far they've been far too slow for updates for the Wave series of phones.

the previews they showed looked horrible. seems like it will still take some time till 2.0
But at least the showed something...

i saw a video showing nexus one running flash lite 4 & htc desire running flash 10.1 in comparison & i can tell you that flash lite 4 is sucks
