FWIW, the adbd uses almost zero resources to run, so theres not much reason to kill the server.

well, I can tell you the command to do it with terminal emulator but lets see if we can get figured out why your device isnt being recognized with adb. You have tried my adb setup I assume. What happened when you tried? Like, what did it say? Did you try setting this Splash flasher up? Still didnt recognize in adb? Tried a battery pull? You are rooted with S=Off? Eng bootloader? Did you run into ant issues while rooting?

In order to charge with the battery off you need to have the stock recovery installed. If you installed my recovery zip and still cant get the stock recovery to flash, then I think these 2 things are related. Please let me know the steps you have tried. Sorry to ask so many questions

-Pretty sure it's a driver issue. I went to install the driver on the computer but have had problems. It's not on my phone. I went to download it from a link here at XDA which said to just delete the .zip at the end (it was a .exe.zip setup at the end) but I've had NO success with this. I've tried changing it during download (when it asks to save) and I've tried after the fact editing the properties. I'm running Windows XP and it allows me to edit the file name (everything up to the .exe) but states that it's a corrupted .zip and won't let me edit it in such a way as to allow me to delete the .zip at the end.

-I do not have the engineering bootloader installed.

Flashing Clockwork recovery will get rid of the stock recovery. To add the stock recovery back and flash the latest Clockwork recovery use THIS METHOD found in my thread. Just download and install zip and follow the directions. You can then switch back and forth from CwM to Stock.

Ok, that was in my thread and totally my bad. For some reason it corrupts the file when I upload it and I had no idea it was doing that. I have put it in my dropbox and it should work now.

Just download it and then plug your phone usb in and then place it on your phone or sd card and click on it to run it. It should install. If it doesnt, let me know.

This is for the Splash screen and that is the the "T Mobile MyTouch 4G" first screen. I was thinking about adding a option to do boot animations wich is the second one.

hopefully i didnt come across as a pain in the ass...just wanted to point out a couple things being i knew you wanted it to be automated

EDIT: i also noted the adb.exe process doesnt end in task manager when exiting the batch file after your done flashing...this doesnt need to be fixed...but i had noticed it earlier...just wanted to mention it...it may just be an issue on my end

All you have to do is open the click_here.txt and copy and paste it into a new notepad document, save add all file type, click_here.bat...worked great for me...

You could have just added .bat to the name. I had no idea this wasnt fixed yet. I must have missed it again but it should be fixed now. Can you or anyone else please download it again and check it out for me please. It should be ready to go.
