People getting off contract in store on Tuesday

post your experiences here and let us all know how it goes...were you able to get $399? $499? did the employees know what they were doing or was it a huge hassle? if you had to argue/explain/haggle your way to a certain price fill us in on how, why, etc... and let us know of any other issues someone going later in the week should be wary of if any....

Called a shop in Atlanta yesterday and the guy said "499, eehm, no wait, 399." A friend of mine is picking one up for me to bring to Germany, told him he can go up to 499 if it's deadly necessary.. :)

I talked to one of my local stores and was told $499....

just bumping this up for tomorrow...or today if anyone's lucky....

The stores here said.they were getting.them tomorrow; ill call one now and see what the pricing is; if I can get it for 400 off contract ill do that.

It's 499 but you can qualify for the 100 MIR.

I'm curious with this too.. I dont think it comes down any lower from the 499.99

All I know is if I ordered through the premier site (business line) I qualified for an immediate 100 discount, which means I would get the same discount in stores. Could be the fact that I have a business line, but I'm not sure.

Granted, it looks like I'll be buying mine at a 3rd party reseller today since he's supposed to get it in stock and always does a sale before the release date if he can.

Also as far as I know it's $299 before a $100 MIR and AT&T lets you get the rebate on an off contract device if you have the qualifiers for data also. Which I will since I have my data plan and messaging plan.
