[Q] possible work-around to AT&t's tethering plan?

I am planning on getting two motorola atrix's this tuesday for me and my wife,i am planning on getting one of the laptop docks and two computer docks, one for home and one for work. does anyone know of a workaround on getting the docks without the tethering plan?

not sure what a computer dock is.. they have the "lapdock" that you can buy for full price without the tethering plan (so i read) some really stupid expensive price.

has all the compatible accessories - the other docks are sold outright.

its is not required to get a tethering plan, as the lapdock if not a wifi device, its a screen with a keyboard. explain to them that you will have them at work where they will be used only on wifi.
