FYI, you might want to update your original post to note whether the Tab should connected in Kies mode, mass storage mode, or Media player mode (should be in mass storage mode). Also note that USB Debugging should be turned off.

FYI
If people are having problems following the directions in the post, chances are they should not be installing it in the first place. I mention nothing about klies in the post (why would it be open, who actually uses that crap.

Note: Usb debugging can be turned ON

Thanks for this great post - but I gotta say that the Navigon GPS app is really poor, with very few features and terrible useability. CoPilot is much, much better (and also available for free if your savvy :)

who uses kies? Me to check if samsung have updated my tab since they are scared of ota updates

how can get US maps? I followed the instructions and when i created the account, the available maps were of Germany, and Australia. How can i get the US maps?
