Default Is galaxy s 4g really worth it?

Went to a t-mobile store today and played with gs4g. I can verify that there is NO on board memory, only storage was 16gb micro sd. Only room was for apps, which was like a couple hundred mbs. Speed test averaged 5.5 mbps from, under 2 for up. Quadrant score was 976.

I'm already rooted running bionix v with dead horse 34 and kb1 modem. Soon going to be installing a ffc, with average download speed of around 4.5.

I don't really think it's worth the 4g bump up.

Opinions?

I just figure I'd supply confirmation of things I read up on. Also wanted to provide quadrant score and speedtest numbers for anyone who wanted confirmed numbers

I think that they got rid of on board storage to prevent flashing roms. Hell, just making a nandroid backup takes a lot more than the available storage on the phone. I dunno if you could make cwm recovery backup to external sd.

DONATE TO ME
First thing is first - quadrant score doesn't amount to a steaming mound of gerbil vomit in my book - it's worthless. It doesn't reflect real-life day to day usage in any way, shape or form.

As far as the on-board memory, what they had on it previously was slow as hell and to me was almost worthless.

I couldn't live with that little of on board storage.... My n1 only had that much and it sucked having to delete one app just to get another....

No upgrade to me.

I was going to get this with my upgrade BUT after reading about the memory, or lack of... it was the deal breaker. Samsung really screwed up on this one... Looks like a dell streak 7 or mt4g is in my future instead

Don't get new wrong, I love my vibrant, and I know quadrant scores don't mean much. I was using a voodoo lagfix up until recently, and quadrant score dropped by 500, but phone doesn't feel any slower. Just a snappy as the day I flashed bionix v with eugene's dead horse 34. And as far as 4g speeds, I live in LA, so when I tested it , it should have at least pushed 7mbps, which apparently, the original vibrant is supposed to be capped at. I'm already averaging near 5 mbps with original vibrant

Guys the memory isn't a problem. Just get rooted ad remove all the bull. Once you do that you're good to go. I still have my MT4G and it was the same way when I first got it.

As soon as I could get CyanogenMod 7 on here, I'm selling my MT4G.
