Default Anyone tried Remote Desktop yet?

Has anyone tried firing up a remote desktop session yet? I'm kicking around the idea of getting a xoom as a replacement for my laptop, and using it to remote to my desktop PC

I tried the Remote Desktop Client from Xtralogic, Inc with a similar plan in mind. Unfortunately, it would just force close upon launch.

I didnt really want to play with the similar apps that require an agent on the server / windows machine. For me, it looks like Im waiting for an updated app to run with Honeycomb.

I bought Xtralogic's Remote Desktop for my Droid X phone, so when I downloaded it to my Xoom and it force closed on me, I emailed their support. They sent me a beta copy in the middle of the night which works wonderfully on the Xoom.

I just replied to their email saying that it works with our servers so I would expect an update on the market shortly. Alternatively you can email their support for the beta version and see if they send it out to other owners as well until they release the finished copy.

Tried it again on my newly replaced Xoom and noticed that it wanted an update. Ran the update and it works like a champ. It looks like they acted fast!

Sent from my Xoom using XDA App

Yeah, they emailed me around noon ET today saying that 2.6 was released with the fix. Great service.

Wyse works as well, without a required agent for the computer. I love their mouse too

Does this client create a secure tunnel, or is this the kind that you basically have open up your PC to the Internet?
