Default [ODIN] [ROM][RETIRED] EB16 Mesmerize Odin & Pick-n-Pack v0.3 ROM

***Just to be clear, this is the EB16 Mesmerize build. It is not the EB16 Generic build. There is a difference.***

This is the Froyo Odin update for the Mesmerize to EB16. Better battery life. More stability.

It is not rooted and does not have CWM recovery pre-installed. This is not a problem as most of you will be bypassing using the build as is anyway and flashing the PnP ROM, but for those of you that want it rooted, SuperOneClick will do the trick.

For CWM recovery, put the update.zip from the package on your sdcard first.
For the Pick-n-Pack ROM, also put it and any of the Addon packs on your sdcard too.

1. Pull your phone battery
2. Start Odin
3. Click PIT and select the .pit file from the download
4. Check the PDA box, Click PDA and select the .tar.md5 file from the download
5. Plug your phone into the USB port and hold volume down
-your phone should go into download mode
6.Verify that Odin sees your phone.
-if not, try another USB port
7. Click Start

Odin should look similar to this:

When it's done click reset. Unplug your phone.
Plug it back in and push volume down again to get back into download mode.
Check the PDA box in Odin again and push PDA.
This time select the cwm_froyo.tar and click Start.

When that is done, pull the usb cable and put the battery back in. If you are not going to flash the Pick-n-Pack ROM, just reboot. If you have any problems with multiple FC's, try a factory reset. This will usually fix the problem.

If you are going to flash the Pick-n-Pack ROM, boot directly into recovery and flash update.zip to get into CWM recovery.
Flash the Pick-n-Pack and any Addon packs that you want, and then reboot.

Bluetooth fix
***You only need the fix if you are on PnP v0.2 or v0.1**
***PnP has been updated. Market and Bluetooth issues fixed.***

My p.o. suggested I not answer that.

Are you thinking this could be the 'official' release?

Question, if I was to use a theme, I assume I would now have to port the EA11 theme to EB16 correct? If thats the case, I will work on that tomorrow.

Nice, I will do that today for my red. Anyone know if EA11 voodoo lagfix is compatible with this?

It uses the same kernel. I'm running it right now. All is well. Still can't wait for the source so we can get some amazing kernels from jt, but hell, even the stock kernel is performing nicely on this build.
