Yeah having a bunch of Telstra apps on an Optus tab will look a bit suss if you're trying to sell it. Try a stock firmware like the one in the Overcome guide or even one from samfirmware which will probably unroot as well.

Unhappy Re-stocking Teltra ROM

Hi all,
I bought a second hand samsung galaxy tab telstra P1000T but the owner change the rom to italy version.
I would like to go back to telstra rom so I can use navigator and radio.
Thanks for your Teltra ROM but I can't find instruction to "Re-stocking" section as you mention in Over come website. I am no good at these thing.
Please help me go to that instruction.
Thank you very much.

Don't bother with the Telstra ROM, no point.

Install the overcome ROM, in the install instructions it clearly tells you what to do so you will have no problems. Follow them precisely.

I have a Telstra one as well and that is what I am currently using, it works well on Overcome and the instructions even tell you what phone (modem) to use for the device.

Damn.
I really needed the modem.bin but the multiupload links are all broken since they shut down their site.

Lots of threads are now useless. You wouldn't happen to have a copy on hand you can post to this thread?

I thought Telstra modem is in mediafire link?
Darkpal spelt it as Telestra, but it is testra. And the link is alive.

Overcome files are alive.

Doh!

First attempt to do anything non-stock with my Tab and I broke it. I was following the instructions at http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sam...l_Update_Guide but it seems that now I have flashed CWM via heimdall I can no longer boot the tab.

I can go to download mode and I can get into recovery mode, but I am unable to actually load the tab (i.e the auto reboot following the flash worked but go no further than the 'Galaxy Tab' 'Samsung' screen.

I was on stock Telstra 2.3 ROM so perhaps I should flash its recovery back and then unloack the bootloader or something. I have no idea really.

Anyway, the Telstra ROM file is no longer available. Does anyone here have a way of making it available to me?

Many thanks,
Whytey

Why don't you install overcome rom then.
Pretty sure overcome method should revive your tab.

Hi,

Yeah, installing Overcome managed to, well, overcome the problem.

I was struggling trying to use heimdall on Linux, but I managed to borrow a Windows laptop to use Odin and it all worked out well in the end.

Thanks very much for your help.

Can someone share their copy of the Telstra ROM? The links posted are dead. Thanks.
