Default Micro usb at the bottom?

Saw some detailed photos of the top of the device and only mini jack port was visible.

I'm not sure though.

Any intel on this one?

Yep, its at the bottom, there are some hardware tour hands-on vids on youTube from MWC that confirm it (possibly the GSMarena write up mentions it too).

Great, vertical desktop dock is now possible as well as more convenient car chargers.

Another reason to buy it

Just so you know, this is actually a MHL port. What this does is it can send data as well as video and audio, so it can be used as a micro USB but also as an HDMI.

Pretty nifty, huh?

1080i output, no charging with the current devices though.

I assume it's 1080p output, it would be strange if it's limited to 1080i.

Slight correction: no charging from current TVs unless you have a dongle, in which case it will charge and playback on all current HDMI-input capable televisions.

DONATE TO ME
According to a MHL preview video on youtube, it will playback the same as any other HDMI port. So if the phone supports 1080p playback, it will send that output to your tv through MHL port.

Iphone 3G > T-Mobile G1 > Samsung Captivate > Samsung Focus > Samsung Galaxy SII> Nokia Lumia 920 > HTC 8X > Sony Xperia ZL
...and a bunch of other phones in between

I have used phones that had it on the top (Captivate) Left (Atrix) and bottom (Nexus)

I like it the most on the bottom. The Atrix is almost unusable while charging in portrait.
