Default Clockwork recovery working...

So I jumped before the warning and followed the directions to install clock work recovery. While I urge people not to try based on what I heard about soft bricking issues, mine worked. I can now boot into recovery and get the green options menu. I tried choosing install from "sdcard"and it takes me to the external sd card and the files listed to the root directory. I can also go to other options like advanced and wipe battery stats...anyone know if I should use odin when a tar and pit are available or am I safe since it installed and didn't soft brick?

i jumped the gun and used the instructions for a clock work recovery too. everything seems to be working fine. i also did a factory reset and it worked as well. anyone have any other suggestions for me to try something to see if this is legit?
