Default [Q] GPU-intensive Live wallpaper problems?

I heard the Atrix 4G struggles severely with GPU-intensive LIVE wallpapers like "Quads".... is that true?

What about Samsung's "Oceans" Live wallpaper? Does it run smoothly and not slow down the phone?

I've also read that all Samsung Galaxy S live wallpapers (like Ocean Waves...etc) do not run on Tegra 2.... is that true??

Am I sacrificing too much by getting the Atrix, if many apps designed for Hummingbird (the 2011 reference platform for Android on phones) won't run on Tegra 2 (but a few Tegra Zone apps will)?

Thanks for the QR code, it wont actually load the wall paper. I don't think it's a weak GPU issue tho. I think it has more to do with the screen resolution and the ability of the live wall paper not being able to scale. I've got a few other live wall papers that I know use a ton of CPU power like the "3D Matrix II Reloaded" wallpaper and it handles that with no problems (Even though on Spare Parts it shows it eating a ton of CPU power.

That's quite sad. First it was the Tegra 2 with the new architecture, now it's the qHD resolution? Unless NVIDIA releases a fleet of impressive apps like Samsung did for Hummingbird, it seems to be counterproductive to get an Atrix today.

wow, in launcher pro, the phone goes to like 15fps if I enable any live wallpaper. That's what I expect out of snapdragon.

My phone running gingerblur 4.5 runs live wallpapers better than any other phone I've used. The ocean waves was a no go but it work fine with adw ex and any other live wallpaper. I honestly don't see what the big deal is.
