Guide for GScript and Removing existing modules. [Thanks Ronniebiggs]

First, if you are replacing your modules, you should first remove them.
  • Open up the terminal or use ADB to connect to your phone and type the following:
    Code:
    Code:
    su
    rm /lib/modules/* -rf
  • This will remove the modules installed and on next boot will reinstall your new modules.
  • Unpack the attached file in the root of your SDcard.

To make your buttons working from boot, you have to run an autostart script which you just extracted in the root of your SDcard.
  • In terminal type the following to copy over the autostart.sh script to the correct location:
    Code:
    Code:
    su
    mkdir /data/opt
    cp /sdcard/autostart.sh /data/opt
    chmod 755 /data/opt/autostart.sh
  • Then install autostart.apk and now on each boot, the modules will be installed automatically.

When your buttons stop functioning, you have to run a script from GScript that reinstalls the modules so they work once more. Perform these steps:
  • Install GScript.apk
  • Open GScript Lite and press <menu> button, then <add script>
  • Press the <Load file> button.
  • The script you need is located autmatically and is called "XPEROID Gscript Button restarter script.sh"
  • Select it and then in the new screen press <Save>

You can now return to your homescreen and add a shortcut to the script so you can reset your buttons easily. To do this do the following:
  • Press <menu> and then <add> to add widgets.
  • Select <shortcut> from the list and then locate and select <GScript Lite>
  • Then select the "XPEROID Gscript Button restarter script" and you now have a shortcut on your homescreen to reset your buttons.

Just testing Duckly's Kernel [3-5-2011](clocked at 633MHz).
Overall, seems smooth and nice. During first boot I spotted graphical glitches. It happens in games like "Angry birds"and that screen during startup. No key freeze or SOD yet. Battery life seems to be quite good. Haven't noticed any problems with Wi-Fi.

Android build: F1 Froyo V2

--edit

After 6.5 hours still no freezes or SODs. Battery consumption: ~7-8% per 5-6 hours.
Samsung Galaxy S II

Yes, first thing i noticed was the battery life! It doesn't die at night! That is quite an improvement. Also some graphical glitches using ADW launcher. Launcher Pro runs smooth though. This is quite an improvement! Amazing thanks for the info. Using froyo v2

EDIT: and also the keys did not freeze on me =)

I might as well stay on android for like ever if it stays like this. xD
