Default [REF] ALL ROMS | ROOTING | FAQs | STICKIES | POSTING RULES | Read Before Posting

Hi,

To get this forum a little more organized your help is needed.

This thread will list and link to all threads worthy of being "stickied", it will be the only sticky in the forum (bar one) so please don't ask.

Please leave your suggestions for new threads [with the thread link please] to be added to this list below and I will attend to this as and when necessary.

Please leave your suggestions in case you think a thread does not belong here. Use the form [threadname|target forum|explanation]. All requests will be verified and attended to as and when necessary.

This thread will be cleaned periodically, so please don't be offended if your post disappears.

Thinking of posting a new thread???

Use the search button on the top bar between "New Posts" and "Quick Links"

If any mod, including myself, continue to find new threads about topics that have threads already existing.
The thread will be locked with no notice and/or up to a temp BAN!!.

Mods, including myself, are not here to keep the forum organized after the fact, we need your help to keep it organized, clean and grouped.

To the dedicated members that care to keep this forum, subforums included, clean and organized and grouped.
Please start reporting threads to the mods to take action. Using this button.

Thank You and happy easy searching.

Howdy! I like the reference sticky with all the quick links for everything for rooting one-click fixes, etc. Definitely a great reference point!

However, the ROM list is a bit out of date --- I don't have the time to test things and compile a list, but is there anyone that basically has a list summary with links to the threads of the "most stable" builds for folks at this point in time?

Thanks!

Which link from the first post should I use to flash roms on my SGS4G that I rooted a year ago using Super One Click? At the time there weren't any stable roms available so I kept the stock Gingerbread rom. I don't think Super One Click installed CWM (the laptop I used to root my phone is long gone). I prefer to put TWRP on my phone since I have good experience with it on my Kindle Fire, Touchpad, and Nexus 7. I saw this thread, but it appears to require a custom rom already installed.

When I reboot to recovery using Goo Manager an "Android system recovery <3e> Samsung Recovery Utils" menu appears with options to: reboot, apply update from sdcard, wipe data/factory reset, and wipe cache partition. Goo Manager says nothing is available when I use the install open recovery action.

Btw, what happened to super one click? I don't see anything about it anymore. Thanks.

Goto the market and download sgs kernel flasher. Then goto this thread and download one of antonx's kernels. Run the kernel app and install the kernel.
