How to edit the system info on custom roms?

Hi,

Im pretty new to the rom cooking scene, well infact I just made my first now, not releasing it until its fully tested. 2.3.2 sped up with extras e.t.c if you wanted to know.

Only thing I was wondering is how do you you edit the "build number" in the about phone section of the phone, because mine is based on the stock samsung F/W it just shows there rubbish, how do I put my own thing in there?

Try open and edit with notepad is what i would do as a first step .
