Wanted to thank everyone here for their hard work and making it easier for the rest of us to make great use of this device. Let me know if I should split these into 2 separate posts, but here are the bluetooth devices that I have working with my Nook Color:

DEVICE TYPE: Case with bluetooth keyboard
DEVICE MODEL NUMBER AND NAME: Unknown (meant for 7” Samsung Galaxy Tab)
PAIRS: Yes
CONNECTS: Yes
RANGE: Did not test. Case holds tablet and keyboard close together
FUNTIONALITY: Working case (minor mods to fit) and bluetooth keyboard
LIMITATIONS AND BUGS: Some keys are not correct (@, ?, left & right arrows).

REQUIRED APPS: N/A
COMPATIBLE APPS: Only tested Dolphin Browser and Google Voice so far.
CM7 version: 7-08312011-NIGHTLY-encore
KERNEL: 2.6.32.9
QUESTIONS: Are Bluetooth keyboards able to be remapped in the Android software or are you stuck with what you have?

DEVICE TYPE: Bluetooth mouse
DEVICE MODEL NUMBER AND NAME: Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000
PAIRS: Yes
CONNECTS: Yes
RANGE: Did not test beyond 12”
FUNTIONALITY: Working mouse (with pointer) with no need for usb dongle
LIMITATIONS AND BUGS: Sometimes unpairs when keyboard pairs
WORKAROUNDS: Just need to wait for it to pair again
REQUIRED APPS: N/A
COMPATIBLE APPS: Have yet to find where it does not work
CM7 version: 7-08312011-NIGHTLY-encore
KERNEL: 2.6.32.9
QUESTIONS:

I found this: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=695936

I can verify that this works, but the path provided does not work (as it is for hero) I used es file explorer to find it. Pain in the arse, but it works!

Can you upload a pic of the mods you made to make the case work?! I want to try that too.

Video I made back in about Sept 2011 of my Nook connected to my Kenwood radio in my truck via bluetooth and playing pandora. In the video you can see I can control the Pandora on the nook from the radio.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EodOzBtQaCQ

Before doing this I was using the tethering and GPS sharing with my Droid X and piping it all to my Kenwood radio through the bluetooth (a2dp). Despite the limited range of the bluetooth on the Nook, I kept my nook a few feet away and it worked fine.

    Hi Everyone,

Well there's been a crazy flurry of BT discussion all over the forums since BT became functional. I thought it'd be useful to consolidate our experiences with different BT devices.

If we can keep to a standard fromat that'd be great, and as a device is well understood I can bring it back up into a master list in this OP.

So I suggest the following format:

DEVICE TYPE: e.g. Headset, GPS, etc
DEVICE MODEL NUMBER AND NAME: e.g. Mototola H390
    PAIRS: Yes/No
    CONNECTS: Yes/No
    RANGE: in feet
FUNTIONALITY: Does not work / Works / Limitations or bugs
LIMITATIONS AND BUGS: Describe limitations or bugs.
    WORKAROUNDS: Workarounds to resolve issues.
REQUIRED APPS: Software that is required to make the device work
COMPATIBLE APPS: Software that can use the device.
    CM7 version: e.g. nightly 19
    KERNEL: e.g. CM7 stock; Dalingrin's OC kernel 3/13/11

QUESTIONS: questions you might have, or like answered

please link to original posts for bugs, workarounds, software solutions etc - credit where credit is due, and it helps us follow the resolution of issues

    ***Change log***

    3/16/2011, Post #15
    - A huge oversight on my part, but the original post did not include suggested fields for CM7 version and Kernel, now added.

    ***Summary***

GPS - many working devices reported, with supporting apps
Wiimote - works with supportin software
A2DP (audio) - works as-is, range is device and limited
Keyboards - varied success, depending in part on being able to enter security codes during pairing
Handsfree and headset (microphone) devices - do not work... lots of buzz on this one... wait patiently folks :)
