I watched a movie on youtube about the gs2 and it surprised me that the sgs2 hasn't got any lock animation. that was just the best thing about gingerbread...

It will probably easily added back into the framework. The gingerbread leak for the galaxy s had no screen off animation but it could be easily added back in

Yeah. Flash a gingerbread rom. It's cooked in the 2.3 kernel so no, un can't have it on anything running other than 2.3

Yeah, the gingerbread update from motorola didn't have the lock screen animation added in, but after root was obtained, they got it added on without an issue.

Could you do the same with every other 2.3 rom?

How have you done it?

LOL dude.. complaining about Galaxy S II not having a UNLOCK animation.. tell me you're not serious.. are you? that's so lame.. how could you EVEN START A THREAD about something soooooooooooooo minor that i'm sure noone (but you) has noticed it.. Galaxy S II has so many great features that make the device stand out in the crowd, so PLEASE dont complain.. so Galaxy S II doesnt have unlock animation.. are you 12-13 years old? if u are.. when you grow up start watching the hardware specs, screen resolution/size, built in memory.. those kind of things.. not unlock animations and such..

I think that's because when there's nothing major to complain about, you see the little ones easier.

At least wait for the phone to be out in the market, then complain. Right now its just word of mouth from the critics.

I will not judge a device unless there is substantial information of a defect or a flaw.
