Samsung Galaxy S II Release Dates

• Singapore release is in April 2011
• UK will be shipping May 6th, 2011
• Asia release is in 2011 on par with Europe release Q2 2011
• Switzerland release is in May 2011 TBD
• Denmark release is in May 2011 TBD
• U.S. release is in May -June 2011 TBD

Samsung has not released ANY official statement on release dates to anywhere, so be patience as we all wait to hear the official release date announcements.

(Note: These dates are tentative based on speculations or rumors, although they may be close to an official release. Official release dates will be denoted when received.)

After the announcement of S II at MWC in February with availability of S II same month in Europe and Asia I consider current situation as just another epic fail of the vendor showing very typical inconsistent market conduct.
And they keep failing it even more with no official follow-ups on the date shift.
It is so lame that company's communications about next top phone missing officially announced release date are limited to desultory leaks in regional company blogs/etc.

As quoted May is just the middle of quoted Q2 availability it looks quite doubtful after all.

As far as I know, Samsung has never announced an official release date... Furthermore only Apple products are available a few days after the announcement

At MWC Samsung employee claimed it'll be available by the and of the January ; ) I also remember this. It was also written in some Engadget news.

Probably a person saying this was not well informed because I have never heard this again.

MWC was in February, so they could never release it by the end of January.

Yes it does. Yesterday, during a presentation, samsung has officialy announced the release date of the Galaxy S II for france : June

Engagdet said it, but on the other hand the Press Release does not mention it at all... So no, Samsung didn't give a specific date.
