Default [Q] Major Issue

Maybe someone can help me out. I was given an M8 from a friend and was told if I can get it working it's mine to keep. All it will do is boot in the bootloader. He didn't really know what he was doing and screwed it up big time. Here is the info I pulled. Can anything be done? I'm not real familiar with adb, but have used it a couple times in the distant past when someone gave me step by step instructions.

Hit the link below. Follow the directions for the 1.54.651.10 RUU in the first post. That should get you up and running. For future reference, I wouldn't post the full serial number, IMEI or MEID of the phone.

OKAY [ 1.775s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...

It has no recovery on it either, just the bootloader.

Forgot to mention that since you're S-on you'll need to relock your bootloader.

Use the command "fastboot oem lock" while connected via Fastboot USB mode (without quotation marks).

The bootloader is locked.

How can get the file to storage without any recovery?

Rename 0P6BIMG.zip and flash in bootloader. Forgot to mention to put on root of you external sd card.

It has to be on your external SD card if you're going to flash it per the posted instructions. Otherwise, connect your phone and computer while in the bootloader. The RUU will need to be on your computer. Double-click the file to start the install process. If you need more info on how to work the bootloader hit the second link in my sig.

Thank you guys so much for the help. I didn't have a ext sd card in it and was hoping for another way, but I'm only seeing a fastboot only for that RUU. So, I'll get a sd card and do it the way the instructions say.

Seriously, thank you for taking the time to help me!

I run all my RUUs in fastboot... It's really simple.

Edit: also have you tried just installing a custom recovery from fastboot? Download a recovery.img of your choice. Boot into bootloader. Then in a cmd prompt type (fastboot flash recovery "name of your recovery img") and then enter. Make sure your recovery IMG is in the same folder as fastboot.
Nah that's the beat to funky town..
