Do the newer model keyboards still make the dock loose or commonly have that disconnection problem that I have been hearing about before with the older version?

Supposedly they are better now. I've heard a couple of particularly good reports regarding the 2014.04 tablets/docks.

I was not confident on getting the dock.
I probably should have and still might get it. Its probably the way to go. Especially if theres hope of running linux on this thing soon.
I dont know can run linux without a connected keyboard?

For a tight budget I got this bluetooth keyboard instead.

The problem is due to the dock being to wide and the connection is sloppy.
to fix, slap some thick 3M adhesive tape on the front and back. One on
the front and double thick on back worked well for me. I guess that I thickend
my tablet by about 60 thousands.
