Can anyone who has this device inform me about the material of the retaining pins, the pins that attach the dock to the tablet. In the older TF700T (the one I have) they are made of plastic and very fragile. Did Asus improved this aspect on the new transformer?

Thanks

They look plastic to me - although I have reinforced them with metal

Mine are 24 karat gold - or they should be considering what I paid for this combo...
Just kidding.
The 701 doesn't seem to have the same problem of the retaining pins breaking like the 700.
And there's an easy and cheap fix for that with JB weld.
