battery saver uses only your mobile location and wifi connection location, its less accurate. google maps will not give accurate directions and it will not give u turn by turn navigation. device only will only use the gps sensor. high accuracy uses them all and also consumes the most battery.

the only thing i noticed from the beanstalk update from yesterday is the home button does not work. anyone else try it?

Sorry, I have not tried the latest update. I'm not big on constantly updating to new versions as long as the version I am using is working perfectly and the .25 version seems flawless to me. I hate having to redo all of my settings and apps over and over again because I never dirty flash. The only time I typically upgrade is if the changelog lists some major additions to the feature list.

im assuming you are rooted and have a recovery and backup. so, yes

Yep. Just came from rage ROM 1.3. So far only issues I've had were 2nd boot up I lost signal, 3rd boot up it said sim card not detected but all my contacts are there so didn't cause anything I noticed. Loving it so far

mine still always says no sim card for a second but once it fully loads everything is normal and lte... are you saying you dont have lte?

I discovered another problem today. Auto rotation doesn't seem to be working. I could have sworn it was working, but maybe I was confusing it with another rom. Not really a deal breaker but I thought it was worth mentioning in case it's a bug.

Try going to a stock ROM and making it rotate, then reflash.

It is not with the latest version, but the previous one.

As I thought about this more, I know for certain that it was working with this ROM and I can pinpoint when it stopped, but don't know why it did. When I was trying to fix my GPS lock issue, I was using GPS Status. I know rotation was working then because as I waited for a lock, I was moving my phone around (to kill time) finding true north, south, etc. and it recognized all my rotations. After I finally got a lock, I was testing it out later that day at a different location. I opened GPS Status again and while I got a GPS lock, I noticed it wasn't registering my phone rotations to face north, south, east, west, etc. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now it makes sense. Ever since I fixed my GPS lock problem, rotation seems to be lost.

The odd thing is the screen will rotate for a game if it needs landscape mode and even rotates for the camera, but it won't rotate for things like viewing an image in the photo gallery or the music app, etc. I'll have to try doing the stock ROM trick and see if that fixes it.

Google maps locates me good in high accuracy mode but GPS status toolbox * no SATs at all

I flashed the render 10.5 and no more hot like it wss

I spoke to soon for the APN's I guess
sometimes it shows and sometimes it don't

Rotation problem resolved. I just reflashed the ROM. Checked the GPS and rotation and everything works now. Wish I knew what happened in the first place. I gotta think I accidentally turned something off.

Thinking of trying this Render kernel next. After installation, do I need to set any settings (governor, etc.) a specific way or should I just leave things at their default settings?

I do have lte just had to change it in settings. Haven't seen the sim message since after that 2nd reboot. So far I've had 3 power cycles. I noticed my screen kept lighting up on its own/waking up. I'm hoping that had to do with the lift to wake feature on. Bluetooth works, camera works, haven't found anything else so far. Love the layout and features!

Phone doesn't want to light up when a call comes in. I have to wake it up manually to see who's calling and to answer it.

I believe dirty flash means if you have a previous version of this Rom installed, you flash the update without doing a full wipe in recovery. That way all your apps and settings stay as they were without you having to redo eveything, but evrything else gets updated to the latest version . You may stil need to do a dalvik cache\cache wipe after install, but i'm not sure of that one. I never do dirty flashes so I don't know everything that needs done.

Back up your rom, flash the rom zip and the latest gapps without wiping, worst case is something doesn't work and you need to restore your back up. There is no Verizon specific zip for this rom, the third zip is to change your baseband to 12b, since you already did that, no need to again.

There's no harm in re-flashing the 12b radio, that wouldn't cause a bootloop... Why would you need to reflash stock before putting another rom on by the way?
