why dont i have the alliance zips folder in internal storage folder after flashing
Is anyone else having problems with group messages?
I am receiving them all separately instead of together in a group. They are listed as an MMS from each person, but not in a combined conversation....Is there an option I'm forgetting about??
I just reflashed after a complete wipe in attempt to fix this, but its happening all over again. I DID try to restore my messages using the "SMS Backup and Restore" app. Could that be causing it?
Any input would be great!

I don't see it in the default "messages" app.....but there is and should be a "thread group conversations" option. That is what you make to make sure is checked.
Thanks for the reply! But I don't see this option anywhere. Is the default for the Rom for them not to be in the same thread? Is this the case for everyone? How are other people getting group texting to work?
i need help, no matter what i do, i just cant boot any custom rom, 1- get black screen after first samsung splash, 2- get frozen on the first samsung splash, 3- get frozen on the second samsung animation, what am i doing wrong? i tryed 4.4.4 and 4.4.2, rooted with towel root, installed busybox, then safestrap 375 ncg b03, i after install going to download mode and install VZW_BOA8_RETAIL_FIRMWARE_ONLY.tar ... whats wrong?
I just use a 3rd party SMS app (Handcent or Textra or whatever).....all the 3rd party apps have greater customization and always offer the "thread group conversations" option. I actually never even looked in this ROMs stock "messages" app until you asked about it. But honestly, that stock "messages" app should have that option...I remember it on virtually all ROMs I've ever used in the past 4 years.
I've usually stuck with stock messaging just because some 3rd party apps seemed slower the first time I tried them. I am using HangOuts now and it is grouping messages fine, but i never did get the stock one to work. Seems like thats not normal.
did you debloat after installing it? how is battery life and speed?
I think I'm going to try a 4.4.4 version this weekend if I can find it.

I tried flashing the latest Alliance in SafeStrap and it didn't go anywhere. 2 Hours and stuck. I had to pull the battery, revert to stock ROM and reroot / supersu / safestrap.
I saw earlier in this thread someone successfully flashed it using flashfire? In the OP's instructions, it says that you need to choose which version before flashing it but SafeStrap did not give an option.
Will flashify clear this up?

I'm currently on build number AllianceROM_v3_G900V and I want to stay on a KitKat Rom. I could not find a download link to the most recent Alliance KitKat Rom for Verizon. If someone has that information and could point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful and they would receive many "Thanks" from me.
I used the extreme debloat after flashing.. And yes, speed and battery life are great! Plus, it is lollipop.
Excellent. Well, I didn't get a chance to flash it this weekend. Very busy. I tried on Friday, but the md5 didn't check out so something went wrong.
Can you flash it like normal in Safestrap or FlashFire on the G900V?
Nothing special about the install of this ROM. Just remember to look in the alliance folder in your internal base directory...That is where the debloat stuff is. After that, do what you want... This has been my daily for a while now
was on BOC4 downgraded to NCG and then used SS to flash this rom

Started on NCG, rooted with towelroot, installed supersu, busybox, and then safestrap. Installed alliance 7.12 in rom slot 1, rebooted to download mode from safestrap, and installed VZW_BOA8_RETAIL_FIRMWARE_ONLY.tar.md5 through odin with a PASS. Now i'm stuck at the samsung splash screen, won't boot into anything. Any ideas as to what went wrong? Hoping I don't have to odin back to stock and start all over
1. You are not using the latest version. See http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=61598230&postcount=705
2. You installed the ROM into slot 1.....not sure if you mean Stock Slot. But these days, any ROM should be installed in STOCK slot only....not rom slot 1 or anything else.
3. Unless you can get back to SafeStrap, I would say you need restart back to stock and start all over.

Here is my instructions
Use odin and flash NI2_STOCK_KERNEL_FOR_SAFESTRAP.tar.md5 or any VZW KITKAT kernel. Then you can enter Safestrap. Once you flash file or whatever you need to do in safestrap remember to boot to download mode from safestrap and then use odin to flash VZW_BOA8_RETAIL_KERNEL_ONLY.tar.md5 (If Already On BOA8 Firmware) or the VZW_BOA8_RETAIL_FIRMWARE_ONLY.tar.md5(If on Firmware Earlier than BOA8). Then you will be good to go. This process must be done every time you need to use SafeStrap!

Im porting Alliance V8 and working on BOC4 MOAR Rom and I just Added A dark themed with stock Icons and no framework edits theme for Stock Verizon BOC4 rom7Just want everyone to know that VOLTE will not work as this is an International Rom. Im sure these will get posted in the OP but here are the Options That were in the aroma installer they are posted as individual zips. The Rom in OP is already Dark Themed UI so no need to flash DarkUi Theme zip.
