I just rooted my s5 and i noticed the signal flaps between 3 bars on 3 g and 1to 2 bars on 4glte
if i install another rom is there one with better signal ability? i only ask cause my note 2 would never go into 3g in my house like this phone.

No, I believe that's dependent on which radio you have and with our locked bootloaders were unable to flash kernels or radios so your stuck with whatever the stock radio is which would mean all signals would be the same on whichever rom you flash

Edit: Zueski is right....radios are flashable, it's kernels we can't flash

Having a locked boot loader does not stop you from flashing another radio. Just grab a radio from beans thread and flash via odin.

Different radios seem to work differently from device to device and also depends on the area you are in. A radio that works great for one person may not work well for you. When it comes to radios the best practice is to try out different radios for a couple of days each to find out which one works best for you.
