BlueTooth, or in short BT, is a method of communicating wirelessly.

This is the mission statement from their website

Develop, publish and promote the preferred short-range wireless specification for connecting mobile products, and to administer a qualification program that fosters interoperability for a positive user experience.

There are two known BlueTooth stacks. One of them is the one that comes with Windows XP SP2 -which is totally crap- and the other one is Widcomm stack.
