What is Footprints?
With Footprints, you can take a snapshot of any favorite place or landmark and link it to a set of GPS coordinates. In addition, you can automatically pin the location to ?GoogleMaps (there is a button just for that), add written or voice comments. It is a nice feature if you want to keep a record of places and share these with friends.

The Iolite also known as XDA-Guide (Germany- O2) or Touch Cruise 09.
The Iolite comes with a car-holder. When you place the device in the car-holder, the ?NaviPanel will automatically start its software. Here you can start some "car features" like Footprints, Navisoft and so on. It will be released with two little magnetic parts in car-holder and a read-contact in device. Negative effect: When you use a case with magnetic clips, the iolite will be turned on, when you put the device in the case.
The Iolite has only one LED at the upper frontside. The other isn't a LED but a light-sensor that can automatically adjust the display's brightness.

Iolite Tweaks
Number of tweaks can be done via Advanced Configuration Tool (Microsoft .NET Compact Framework required). This tool is not developed specificaly for Iolite though and not all included tweaks are supposed to work on this device.
For some tweaks you will need registry editor. If you use Total Commander already (freeware), you can use the built-in one.
Enable landscape mode option in Screen Settings You can change this either by using the Advanced Configuration Tool or by simple registry edit (thread):
HKLM - System - GDI - Rotation - HideOrientationUI (change from 1 to 0)
NOTE: TF2D does not support landscape so far and will turn orientation back to Portrait mode whenever used.

Customize Your TouchFlo2D GUI
The easiest way to change the layout is by using mpenguin14's Manilla 2D Customizer (M2DC) and already made themes in M2DCT format. M2DC allows you also to add more positions in programs list, hide/reorder items on tab bar and more.
1. Download/Install Manilla 2D Customizer
2. Read ReadMe.txt and Readme-Themes.TXT within installation folder
3. Create backup using M2DC (Restore tab)
4. Find the skin in appropriate format and place the file (.zip or .m2dct) into M2DC/Themes/ folder Tip: Find some skins in this thread
5. Run M2DC, select the theme from the list and hit Apply Theme
NOTE: A lot of themes were made before TF2D with Footprints arrived and will miss it's icon in the tab bar. Default icon is likely to be used, which may not always fit the theme seamlesly.
