Q: I keep getting an error when trying to flash. Even when my device is SIM Unlocked/Security Unlocked.
A: Have you installed HardSPL? NO! You have not! Don’t try to lie! You can find how to HARDSPL here
Q: I just flashed HARDSPL and now I have a white screen. What do I do?

Q: I can’t hear any sound after flashing. When I make phone calls I can’t hear the other person either.
A: You need to use a different radio. You can find them here. Remember:
- AT&T ROMs need AT&T Radios.
- WM6.1 ROMs need WM6.1 compatible Radios (there are a couple of exceptions to this one, but they are noted in the threads for those ROMs)
Q: The keys on my keyboard aren’t working correctly. They don’t seem to be mapped correctly or the symbol key won’t work
A: You need to install the Tilt Keyboard fix.
Q: Every time I open a message it goes to the middle/bottom of the message.
A: Install KaiserTweak, and disable D-Pad Scroll Navigation or use Schap's Advanced Configuration Tools and disable 4-way navigation.
Q: How do I stop the Comm Manager from randomly opening
A(1): Fix is simple. Those of us with HTC Task Manager installed have it on the exclusions list. Just remove it, and it will close when you hit the X button as well as show up on the open programs list if you don't close it.
- Open a Registry Editor
- HKCU / Software / HTC / Task Manager / Exclusive list / System
- Delete "CommManager."
- Soft reset.

Q: I cannot set up GMail as IMAP, it autoselects POP3 and won't let me change it!!
A: When you set up the account, leave the "m" off so you are @gmail.co and then you can change all the settings by hand. Just remember to fix the address after you do the whole account setup.
Q: ActiveSync/Device Centre is not seeing my phone. Drivers loaded and connection sound...but nothing happens.
A: Update your versions of either. Also try updating your .NET framework. Google ".NET 3.5"

Q: I don't like the splash screen, how can I change it
A: Simply find, create, or resize a picture to 240x320, save it as Welcomhead.96.png and copy it to the \Windows folder on your device. And before you ask, you will need to do the copy with a program like Total Commander or Resco File Explorer because the file is marked as Read Only.
Q: What is a "Cab" file and how do I use it
A: A Cab file is used to install programs on a Windows Mobile device. Simply copy the file to the device and run it. This is usually accomplished by selecting it in File Explorer or a similar program.
Q: Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC) can't detect my Kaiser, it connects for a few seconds then disconnects. What do I do
A: Unplug the phone from the computer, delete the old partnership in WMDC and plug the phone back in.
Flashing your device
Q: I installed HardSPL, so I can flash, do I have to install HardSPL every time I want to Flash a custom ROM
A: Simple Answer: NO!
Complex Answer: While you do not need to reinstall HardSPL, unless you installed the Stock SPL, There are different versions of HardSPL out there. Look in the first few posts of a ROM thread and see if the chef recommends a specific HardSPL. If they do you can install that if you wish.

A: When your Device boots for the first time, WAIT FOR THE 3 SECOND COUNTDOWN and stick your stylus into the reset hole located at the bottom of the tilt next to the USB/Charger Port before these 3 seconds pass. That’s it. When device resets, the AT&T bloatware will be gone.
