Updating through recovery
This section is for custom recovery ONLY. If you have stock recovery, you can either flash a custom recovery or use fastboot (safer) if your bootloader is unlocked.
- Download one of the radios (in .zip format) from the links above.
- Verify the MD5 hashes (very important) using a program such as ManD5 in Android or HashTab in Windows/Mac.
- Power down your phone.
- Hold down the Vol Down (-) as you power your phone back on.
- Select Flash ZIP from SD card option in the recovery (using the trackball).
- Choose the file to flash.
- Wait until radio flashes completely!
(Make sure you have enough battery, do NOT disrupt the flashing process in any way such as removing the battery)
Updating through fastboot
- Make sure you either have the radio in .IMG format, or download from one of the links above and extract the IMG file from the downloaded ZIP.
