Entering Recovery & Download Modes

How to get into Recovery Mode

  1. Make sure you have Android SDK installed
  2. Connect the phone to the PC.
  3. Press Win key+ r.
  4. Type adb shell reboot recovery and the phone should reboot into recovery.

How to get into Download Mode (eg: for Odin)

  1. Unplug the USB cable.
  2. Shut down the phone.
  3. Hold down the 'POWER' + 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttonS to enter Download Mode.
  4. To get out of Download Mode, simply press and hold the power button until the phone restarts.
