Introduction
The Samsung Galaxy W i8150 (aka Samsung Ancora)is a smaller-sized 9.5 cm (3.7 in) touchscreen variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II. The Galaxy W is a downgrade in features to that of the Galaxy S II with the same comparable downgraded features as that of the Galaxy R. The Galaxy W features a 'SC-LCD' capacitive touchscreen with continued 480x800 resolution, the Galaxy W also features a 5 megapixel still-image camera with 720p video capture. The main differences of the Galaxy W from other variants, is that it features a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm manufactured processor, its physical design differs slightly and furthermore its screen has a higher pixel density (ppi) compared to that of the Galaxy S II and Galaxy R.
Prior to the release of the Galaxy S II, there were speculative reports of an exact same smaller-sized, stripped down variant planned for release; in a similar example to the way the HTC HD Mini was towards the HTC HD2. The name previously rumored for this smaller Galaxy S II variant included the naming suffix of 'Mini' added the end of its name.

You can root the Samsung Galaxy W using SuperOneClick & ZergRush.
Note: On GingerBread 2.3.6, you can no longer use the ZergRush auto or manual method. It needs to be done through the Recovery method.

Recovery
Flashing RZRecovery
Flashing recovery is very simple, all you need is root access on your phone, and adb on computer.
You just copy downloaded recovery on internal sdcard.
Latest Recovery here: http://www.rzdroid.com/ftp/recovery/gingerbread/2.1.4/RZR-2.1.4-ancora-rec.img
Then disconect phone from computer.
Make sure that USB debugging is on.
Now connect it again but don't connect phone memory (computer shouldn't see sdcard and internal memory in Windows explorer), open command prompt and go to directory where adb is installed, first we back-up existing/stock recovery
First thing to do is back-up existing/stock Recovery, as below:

Ensure you keep this safe, like keep it somewhere not on your phone, [[2bsure/2bsure......[irish joke!!]]

Next, to flash Recovery, enter this:

Now turn off phone and turn it on like this:
hold Volume Up + Home + Power button,
When Samsung sign appears release power button but still hold other two, until recovery is loaded.
