Disclaimer

  • In case you have an older Radio version, you can upgrade. Nobody here on xda-developers.com will take responsibility for the mistakes YOU make for bricking your device. You should also know that flashing a new Radio to your Vox can be a problem if you want to make use of your warranty. Make sure you read the steps below very careful.

Pre-packaged Radios are found here:

I. What you need:

  1. The ROM that contains the radio version you want (in this case the ARA Rom HTC_Vox_ARA_1.27.415.4_4.1.13.47_02.98.90.exe). ROMs are found on the xda-developer ftp server
  2. WinRAR| (or something similar to extract the files from the ROM exe file, like 7zip)
  3. Dutty’s NBH Tool
  4. HTC Rom Tool by Dark Simspon
  5. jockyw2001’s VOX USPL

Steps

  • Step 1
Extract the Files from the source ROM.
 [1]
  • Step 2
Open Dutty’s NBH Tool and find the folder where you extracted the files in Step 1.
  • Step 3
Open Dark Simpson’s HTC Rom Tool and select “Build.”

  • Step 4
Select “Excalibur” as model (VOX is not an option), change the text in the Model ID: box to “VOX”click the “…” next to “Radio” and browse to where you extracted the files in Step 2 and find the “Radio.nb” file.

  • Step 5
 Click “Build.”
  • Step 6
You now have a flashable .nbh file. Put the new .nbh file in a folder by itself . Copy the following files you extracted in Step 1 to the folder with your new*.nbh file. Enterbootloader.exe, Rapitool.exe, ROMUpdateUtility.exe, RUUGetInfo.exe and RUUResource.dll.

  • Step 7
If you haven't done it before, run uspl_116_jockyw.bat and then run the ROMUpdateUtilitity.exe in the folder you created in Step 6.

That’s it! Check Start > Settings > About and you should see the new Radio Version.
