Earpiece distortion

Default Earpiece distortion

There is distortion in earpiece. If i higher the volume its shows too much distortion. I'm not getting its software or hardware... If i lower the volume to 1 less, its again comes to normal and after sometime its goes too low. Automatically its goes too low.i am on stock

Im also on latest stock firmware (.17) and i don't have this problem.

its a hardware problem
our xperia l doesnot have the filter over the ear piece so all kind of durt gets in
the same thing happened with me a few months ago
i got my phone's ear piece replaced under warranty and now it works flawlesssly
