Probably Juice defender ?

You can squeeze more power if you see that your phone is sleeping more :P ( I mean deep sleep state) You can check that with apps like Trickster mod. Not sure if you need to have the phone rooted to view that details. You can give it a try and let me also know. Never tried that app before rooting.

Be conscious when installing apps that constantly wake up the phone unnecessarily. Further, if you network option is set to "GSM only", phone will eat way less power than compared to "WCDMA only". So use 3G only when you want it.

Actually it's better to not use any power saver apps. Most of the time they end up draining more battery than helping conserve battery. If you really need one, I would recommend Greenify. It's a good app that helps with preventing apps from draining your battery. The only downside to this is that you need root to use it.
