Hello

I have read several threads here and suspect what I want to do may not be possible.
I have just purchased an M2 running KK 4.4.4 with a locked bootloader. It says it cannot be unlocked. Does this mean I am unable to root?
I saw a thread about downgrading to 4.3 JB but can I do this with a locked bootloader?

Confused

Thanks in advance

Lee

Yes, you can flash ftf's with locked bootloader. Just read whole tread about root with locked bootloader and you be fine.
Good Luck

Getting there :)
Thanks for this. Followed it to the letter. Root checker says I am rooted at 4.4.4. I can install ES file explorer and grant root permissions.
But I am unable to make any changes that require roor (for example set folders to R/W to delete unwanted APK's).
I have Super SU 2.40 from these forums (it does try to update and failes still), what have I missed?

Thanks

Thumbs up Solved
Please disregard my previous post. I missed the thread about installing SuperSU into system. This is now done

Thanks for the help.
