I was getting used to a notification sound from my arc. And the sound is not to find on the SXS. So I was wondering if the build in sounds are somewhere to find on the arc and if so a way to copy them over to my SXS. Both devices are rooted.

Thanks. But Iím having some trouble copy them over. I'm getting a Copy Error. Java-something-Read-only-System.

However the library root is empty. The folder Iím trying to copy the OGG files over to is: /system/media/audio/notifications - This is where only 8 notifications is. And then it tells me itís a read-only-system. Iím using ASTRO to copy/paste with.

Never mind. Hehe. Just found out if i place the folder with OGG files in the /mnt/sdcard/Music it works. thanks anyway tho.

Actually there is a notifications and alarms and ringtones folders right there on the SD-card just made for it. I just never noticed that before. Fail - lol

If you want to copy something to any system directory, you need a rooted device and a tool, that "will know" that device is rooted. Best tool for that is Root Explorer. "Must have" application for all people with rooted phones.

Aha i see. Found a way tho. But i'll keep that i mind. Im still pretty new to the root-people. I only rooted 3 phones so far. So i'm still learning about all the stuff you can actually do when you get root. :

So today I learned something new. I can see the app cost money, so i'll wait for another day when i actually gonna need it. But thank you

You can also try to find the notification sound in the app "Zedge" if you know the name of the sound.
there are like 500.000 sounds in Zedge :P
